Canteen Manager Job Description

Warners Bay Bulldogs AFL Club are looking for a Canteen Manager for the 2022 season.
The canteen and BBQ are major fundraising areas for the football club, so we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and an interest in doing the best they can for our club.
Responsibilities include:
• Weekly ordering and purchasing of stock from sponsors, local suppliers, and best price suppliers for the canteen during the week.
• Setting up the canteen and BBQ for each home game.
• Supervising volunteers throughout the day.
• Cleaning up after the day with the assistance of volunteers;
• Counting and banking the proceeds for the day’s sales.
• Ensuring Umpire payments are managed throughout game day.
There is payment in the form of an honorarium to compensate for the responsibilities involved – made in tax free instalments, equivalent to approximately $20-25 p/hr (further details upon application).
The ideal candidate would have experience in a canteen or food retail environment, and will require RSA certification and experience, or be willing to undertake – This would be paid for by our Senior club.
The Canteen Manager will be required for Seniors games on approximately 8 Saturdays and for Juniors on a minimum of 15 Sundays – which based on the football draw, will generally fall between late April to mid-September (pending finals).
Hours vary by number of home games in a day, but typically the day would start around 8:15 am, and finish time could be anywhere between 1-5pm depending on the draw for the day.
